Loading of actions very slow

Thanks Barup98. I received your mail with the videos. This is very strange. According to the video the actions appear while dragging and before you hit the garbage can with the mouse. Is this correct or is there a delay in the video? I'll ask my contacts from Adobe what could be going on there.

I don't think it has to do with Windows 11 vs Windows 10. But has something to do with the newer PS versions. Could you try to install an older PS version and check if there the issue also exists? You can do this in the Creative Cloud App by clicking on the three dots beside Adobe Photoshop and choose "Other versions". It will be installed in parallel to your newest installed version and the newest version is secure.

Tried to install a prior version and install indicated that it will overwrite existing version. Not willing to overwrite my current version and lose any configurations. Maybe somebody else with similar issue can take this on. Hopefully Adobe can provide assistance. Sorry.

Barup98 No problem, I was able to install it in parallel with the newest version (maybe you need to install an even older version like PS 2022). Yesterday I sent you an email with an update that contains a potential fix for the issue. Would be great if you can test it and report back. Thanks.

Barup98 Awesome. I will submit an update to Adobe today.

The problem is technical. In the new Photoshop versions, an option was added for us developers to reserve all the resources for certain tasks exclusively for a particular plugin. I have now implemented that for loading actions. Without this option, either Photoshop or another plugin can get in the way when loading the actions in ActionBrowser 2. Now what it was exactly in your case, I can't say.

Thomas Thank you. I thought at one point, that there may have been a conflict with another plugin, but couldn't prove it. Appreciate all your hard work in resolving this.

Thomas I'm sorry, but this version doesn't work as one would expect it should. It's very slow and unresponsive. Update: I uninstalled ActionBrowser2 and only have ActionBrowser2Pro installed. The plugin is more responsive with just the Pro version installed.

Just purchased ActionBrowser 2 a couple weeks ago and it is so slow to load the actions, doesn't respond to adding an action as a favorite, doesn't respond to adding text when searching for actions, etc. Great idea, but pretty much a useless plugin being this slow. I am very disappointed in this plugin's response time. I have a very fast new Windows 11 computer with 128 GB of memory and lightning fast 24 graphics card and fast processor. I have all the latest software updates from Adobe photoshop as well as Window updates. Please fix this plugin so that it is responsive and work like others.

the loading speed can depend heavily on how many actions are installed.
How many actions (approx.) do you have installed? Which plugin version do you have installed?

The plugin is more responsive with just the Pro version installed.

Thomas Hi Thomas, I do have quite a few actions installed. How can I get that number of actions? I have plugin 2.2.5 as I just purchased the ActionBrowser 2 Pro. It is definitely faster and more responsive after uninstalling ActionBrowser 2 and only having the Pro version installed. Often times though, when I go to type in the search bar there is no response. It wants to hesitate a bit before the text displays. Feel free to delete my original post. Thank you.
