Nothing happens when clicking the Run button

It had worked before on my mac when I was doing test watermarks, but now it completely stopped working. Single watermarks for open images in Ps work, so I know the plugin works, but I need to watermark multiple images. If I select the option to "Target folder same as Source folder/Create subfolder, the subfolder is there but empty. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin and updated my Adobe CC, I have Ps 2023 now. I have restarted and uninstalled hundred times. Please help.

Hi, can you please try to select the target folder manually and see if it works?

Also please tell me what your exact plugin version is (you can see it in the lower right corner of the panel) and post screenshots of all your settings you made in the plugin.

Are you aware of any limitations in the character count of the resulting filename since by default it will add the word "watermarked" after the filename? Or maybe characters that should not be part of the filename? I have renamed the files to their default names still in the source folder i.e., image, image1, image2, etc. and tried running a batch again and it worked this time.

I have tested my theory 8 more times and it works. My issue is when I need a text watermark and I want the watermark to follow the filename, such as when I want the watermark to be the number of the artwork in the series or collection. i.e., 1/8, 2/8.

The plugin seems to work with the original filename after renaming the file, pressing the run button does not do anything.

Hi Thomas, I get it now, it's not the character count of the filename, it will not run if I have special characters in the filename so far I have tested asterisk (*) and (forward slash)...hyphen and period works fine.

mbjtgm Thanks for your detailed tests. Yes, special characters in filenames can be problematic.
Here the characters that are not allowed in filenames: \/:*?"<>|#
I'll check if I can show a a corresponding warning when the user is trying to process such files.
