Alphabetize sort not functioning

Thomas, Merry Christmas! Today I purchased and installed the Pro version of ActionBrowser and it doesn't sort A-Z as shown in your YouTube video. When I have All Actions selected and click on the AZ icon no Actions are displayed. I've attached screen captures of before and after trying to alphabetize. I'm using a Mac Pro, ActionBrowser 2.2.1, macOS Big Sur 11.6.1 and Photoshop 23.1.0.

this indeed looks buggy. Can't replicate it on my side. Would it be possible for you to send me your actions (only for debugging)?

No problem. Where are the installed Action files located on the Mac? I've been searching for them and I can only locate the local ones installed by default. Not sure I can do this yet, but If I create a "set" of all the installed Actions in the set and export the set can you use that?

Local Actions by default: Macintosh HD>Applications>Adobe Photoshop 2022>Presets>Actions - this folder doesn't have all my installed actions

Another location tried: Macintosh HD>Users>MikeMacPro>Library>Application Support>Adobe>Adobe Photoshop 2022>Presets>Actions - this folder is empty

Thomas, I just sent by email to you a Dropbox link to the Actions and a brief video of what is happening. There is some sorting taking place but Actions and sub-menu items are being mixed together.

Hi Mike,

after watching your video I know what's going on. It's not a bug in the plugin.
Because the native action panel doesn't allow to create separators or add comments creator of actions are using actions as separators (with no name) and comments as name of actions. But technically these are actions. So the plugin can't know what is a comment/separator or a real action.
The only way "to fix" this would be to remove these separator and comments from the native actions panel.

Thomas, that's unfortunate. Since I purchase most of these Actions from 3rd parties and I do receive updates from time-to-time, I'm not going to go through them and try to edit out these visual and informative added comments. Looks like this (ActionBrowser Pro) will not work for me unless you can update to fix this type of labeling, separators and comments.

mikegifford I can hide actions with an empty name (used as separators and I assume everyone will give a real action a name). But it's not possible for "comments as actions". Unfortunately I can't know what an action will be called and technically all entries in the action panel are actions.
I think the ability to search for actions by typing a port of the name still would help you.
